Members of the Dalí Quartet treated 3th-6th grade students at Mills Lawn Elementary School to a program of music and fun on Monday, Nov. 14, after their concert in Yellow Springs the previous day. This was the first of two outreach programs CMYS will provide to local schools during the 2022-23 season.
Chamber Music in Yellow Springs continues to provide educational opportunities to the community by bringing at least one ensemble per year to a local school or university for a program with students. This year, the Imani Winds gave a master class at Central State University, working with a saxophone student and answering questions from the audience about performing. Both the students and the quintet enjoyed the event.
In March 2022, the Balourdet Quartet worked with students at Wright State University during a masterclass sponsored by CMYS. In addition to coaching a cellist and violinist, the Balourdet coached a student quartet.
