David Piano Trio

Since winning the CMYS Competition for Emerging Professional Ensembles in 2005, the David Trio has continued to have great success internationally. Now composed of musicians who each also have major solo careers, they are: founding pianist Claudio Trovajoli, Ukrainian violinist Andrej Bielow, and Belgian cellist David Cohen. The David Trio perfectly balances ensemble and solo performing. They have recorded for the Stradivarius label two of the pieces on our program:

• Schubert, Notturno in E-flat major, Op. 148
• Arensky, Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 32
• Tchaikovsky, Trio in A minor, Op. 50
