
Miha Pogačnik is a distinguished violinist virtuoso, celebrated for his exceptional methods and profound global contributions to the world of music. Pogacnik’s performances have taken him to esteemed venues like Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall, where his virtuosity has left a lasting impression on art lovers around the globe.
As a dedicated Cultural Ambassador of Slovenia, Pogacnik has collaborated with numerous institutions, including UNESCO and the European Union, to promote cultural exchange through music. His work often involves leadership conferences and masterclasses, where he shares his expertise and passion for music with aspiring musicians and audiences alike. Through these efforts, Pogačnik highlights the unifying power of the arts and their ability to bridge cultural divides.
He studied violin at University of Cologne, Germany, then came as a Fulbright Scholar to IU Bloomington. He remained in the US for 20 years. He lived in Ann Arbor while he organized several musical festivals that filled Chartres Cathedral. He founded the IDRIART organization, which presented over 200 intercultural festivals all around the world.
